First reported by Fox News, an 11 year old girl in the Northeast gives birth to a baby boy. The mother of the 11 yr old told the news, “My daughter and (her) baby are fine, and the baby is absolutely beautiful.”

Currently, the name of the 11 year old girl and the family are being protected for their privacy. But this news has certainly caused much alarm to the increasing number of teen pregnancies, which is up by 3 percent in the US.

Earlier, this week, there were also reports that a 9-year old girl in China also gave birth to a baby boy. However, the youngest documented case of a pregnant child was in 1939 in Lima, Peru when a 6 years old successfully gave birth to a baby.
