2009 US Open Tennis Results September 9 – Day 10
Written under: EditorialThe biggest story for the day in the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York City is the end of the winning streak for Melanie Oudin.
Cool and calm, Wozniack dominated Oudin in two sets which would bring her to the semis. “My dad,” she says, “told me to go into my own bubble. In the past, maybe I throw my racket. But I know I cannot show my emotions, because that would help Melanie.”

Meanwhile, Oudin says that she hopes to come back to New York and do even better, much to the delight of the crowd. She will now move up in rank to the low 40s from her pre-tournament rank of 70.
