The most popular reality talent search comes again this January 12 as American Idol Season 9 premiers with a 4-hour, 2-night episode featuring the open audition rounds.

Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DiGuardi is back together with the newest judge, Ellen DeGeneres who is replacing Paula Abdul.

You can start watching Ellen DeGeneres on American Idol Season 9 starting February 17 when the contestants have already been trimmed down to 24.

Voting for American Idol Season 9 officially starts on February 23rd.

Other guest judges expected to make an appearance this season are Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, Joe Jonas, Mary J. Blidge, Joe Jonas, Kristin Chenoweth, Shania Twain, Neil Patrick Harris and Victoria Beckham.
