Australia vs India Cricket Game Stopped Due To Heavy Rains
Written under: Sports
The India vs Australia cricket match at the SuperSport Park in Centurion has been stopped due to rain. Current scores were Australia at 234/4 in 42.3 overs against India when rain stopped game.
The two teams split points and with that, Pakistan becomes the first semi-finalist from Group A at the ICC Champions Trophy.
Electing to bat first, Australia were 234 for 4 wickets when heavy rains made the two teams to walk back to their respective dressing rooms.
This was a must win game for India, losing means they will be out of the tournament. However, with an abandoned match, India now stands at a slim chance.
India needs to beat West Indies on September 30 and Pakistan will have to beat Australia. Apart from that India’s net run rate will have to be good enough for them to move on.
However, for Australia, a win or a shared point against Pakistan will take them through to the semi-finals.
