This weekend, teens will be flocking to the cinemas to watch the movie Bandslam. This is the latest teenage comedy starring, Gaelan Connell, Vanessa Hudgens and Alyson Michalka.

Movie reviews from critics who was able to watch Bandslam are coming out positive, most of them saying that this is not your typical teenage movie flick.

The first thing you’ll notice about this movie is that eventhough this movie has similar themes as High School Musical, Camp Rock and other Disney Musicals – there is no Zack Efron or Joe Jonas cuties in the movie. Instead, a charming new actor named Gaelan Connell.

Despite the juvenile theme and teenage plot – the movie presents an eccentric and funny story with a tight cast and solid punchlines. Which makes Bandslam a sure movie hit for all ages. It’s not shallow as you might initially think.
