Brain Food For Your Child

The food we eat is an integral part of our health. And for parent’s who want to raise smart kids, they can now give their child these scientifically proven brain food to boost their mental health.
The intellectual capability of children are primarily attributed to the genes from their parents. However, once the child is born into the world, many other factors come in – including the diet and food intake. And according to experts, these brain foods can help:

Breakfast cereals
Give your child a hearty breakfast. This will keep them energetic in the morning at school. Avoid the high sugar variety though and serve eggs too.
Blueberries
These can promote higher cognitive functions. It also has antioxidant properties. Serve them as desserts or make a jam for their sandwich.
Oily fish
These are salmon, fresh tuna and sardines. They contain omega-3 fatty acids which is strongly believed to increase learning ability and concentration. It also fights attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Whole grains
They contain B vitamins and folate, which are linked to increased memory function. It also keeps them energized for longer periods, improving their concentration and alertness.
Iron-rich foods
Lean red meats, dried fruits, whole grains, poultry and legumes. They are proven to increase energy levels and mental alertness. Give them whole-wheat peanut butter sandwiches and a lean hamburger steak. They’ll enjoy it too.
