Today in Bangalore, a major fire broke out in Carlton Towers, a 7-storey commercial complex located on the busy Old Airport Road in Domlur area.

The fire was brought under control and the building evacuated nearly two hours after it broke out at around 4:30 PM local time. Currently, it’s been reported that there have been 9 fatalities, while 59 are undergoing treatment.

The cause of the fire is still yet to be determined however, many say that the panic of the crowd shows the lack of knowledge on emergency procedures are during times of crisis.
