Gaming company, Konami, has finally announced the official release date for the much anticipated Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

The scheduled launched will be on October 5 and it will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

With the rise of the vampire genre in pop culture from recent years, many game experts are predicting that Castlevania will do well upon its release – capturing the “old school” fan base and the new breed of “Twilight” gamers.

Castlevania: Lord of Shadows will feature over 50 stages of gaming with different challenges ranging from straightforward arcade style battles to mind-bending puzzles.
