David Letterman Extortion Gets Exposed
Written under: Entertainment, Pop Culture
David Letterman admitted on Thursday’s show that he had an affair with female employees and that someone had actually tried to extort $2 million from him over the affairs.
Letterman told his story during the taping and stated that the “bizarre experience” was already referred to the Manhattan district attorney’s office.

The investigation ended in an arrest Thursday after Letterman issued a fake $2 million check to bait the suspect.
CBS already knows the identity of the person but they’re not telling who he. What they do stated is that the person who was arrested works on the true-crime show “48 Hours”.
Update: The name of the man is 51-year-old Robert Halderman
According to Letterman, three weeks ago, he received a package in the car that says:
I know that you do some terrible, terrible things and that I can prove you do some terrible things.
The package contained proof of his deeds. Letterman was quick to call his lawyer and devised a plan to entrap him. Now, he’s all set to testify before a grand jury on Thursday.
When asked why he chose to make the news of the extortion public, David Letterman says:
I was worried for myself, I was worried for my family, I felt menaced by this, and I had to tell them all of the creepy things that I had done.
And now that he’s “taken the fall” for this, he can now protect the names of everyone involved. We say courageous move Mr. Letterman.
