Written under: Entertainment, Internet, Pop Culture
Last weekend, the Facebook movie entitled, “The Social Network” tops the box office with $23 million. This is the first time that a film based on a real-life web start-up has gained success in the box office.
The Social Network tells the story of Harvard student, Mark Zuckerberg and how he created Facebook, the world’s most popular social networking site today.
The film’s earnings is pretty low as compared to high budget Hollywood films but despite the fact that the only big name in the film is Justin Timberlake, many still went to the cinemas to watch the movie.
The Social Network stars Jesse Eisenberg who portrays Zuckerberg and is written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher.
As the film launches worldwide, it is expected that this Facebook movie will gain more profits from the box office.
