Free Jeepney Ride for Makati City Students on First School Day

It will be back to school in a few weeks and the city of Makati, Philippines is giving all students something to look forward to.
The city government, through the cooperation of the Unified Transport Federation of Makati (UTFM) and Ang Bagong Makati Tricycle Federation (AB-MATRIFED), and Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay Jr. will be giving all students free jeepney rides and tricycle discounts.
“We thank the UTFM and AB-MATRIFED for coming up with these initiatives that will bring much relief to students on the opening of classes on Monday,” Binay said on the city government’s web portal.
UTFM president Nerio Duka they will offer free rides to students from 5 to 8 a.m., and from 5 to 7 p.m.
AB-MATRIFED President Alberto Galisim said they will be giving a P1 fare discount to students from 6 to 8 a.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.
