The movie Gamer goes for wide release today and gaming fans are all excited to watch Gamer despite bad reviews from critics.

The film currently has a low 37 rating in Rotten Tomatoes and other entertainment writers are saying that Gamer is just a rehash of the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, The Running Man.

However, the younger crowd, specially gamers who are mostly fond of playing massive multiplayer online role playing games – are nothing but excited to see this film.

Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, who are also the director of the Crank movie series, are not taking the criticisms seriously. What they are more concerned are their fans enjoying their latest action flick.

Meanwhile, younger writers are actually saying that Gamer is a decent movie and worth the time to watch it in cinemas.

Regardless of the mixed reviews, everyone agrees that Gerard Butler did a good job in acting the role of the movie’s hero – Kabel / Kable.
