Giants Stadium Demolition Started
Written under: Human Interest
The demolition of the famous Giants Stadium has started. Currently, a crane with a claw is taking bites out of the stadium’s top sections while about a dozen construction workers nearby watched.
The Giants Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA, in the Meadowlands Sports Complex. It primarily served as the home stadium for the New York Giants and New York Jets American football teams of the NFL, and the New York Red Bulls soccer team of MLS.

The Giants Stadium is the second-largest NFL stadium, behind FedEx Field and is the ninth-oldest stadium used by an NFL team.
After the Giants Stadium demolition stops, a new Meadowlands Stadium will be built and opened. The new stadium will have a capacity of 82,500 and will be the NFL’s third-largest stadium.
As of the moment, a Bon Jovi concert in late May will officially open that stadium.
