After the update, you’ll need to restart your iPhone.

However, not all iPhones can have the MMS capability. Only those with the latest iPhone 3.1 software update can get it. To check, simply go to to Settings > General > About in your iPhone.

If you’re having problems with updating your iPhone MMS, you may check out the iPhone MMS troubleshooting page in Apple for more information here.

Yea I have update 3.1 updated and I have restarted and I still can’t find where the option is to mms pictures… Any ideas?

  6. jodi says:

nevermind – I got it to work… I think the key might be shutting it off for a longer time… like 30 sec. should be enough! Goodluck!!!

  7. GreggR says:

Yup, Jodi is right, I had updated my iPhone to version 3.1 and I still didn’t see anything that would let me send photos via MMS. I mean, the iPhone restarted after it updated, so I thought all was well. WRONG, you have to power it off for about 30-60 seconds. If you don’t know how to power your iPhone off, just hold that silver button on top of your iPhone down until you see a slider on the screen. Once you slide the button, it will power it down. When you power it back on, you should see that little camera icon in a text message or conversation. When you push that icon, it will ask if you want to take a picture or choose an existing one. It’s pretty cool! Finally! :)
