Meteor Showers 2009: Perseids Awesome Video
Written under: Human Interest, ScienceThe annual meteor shower of Perseids has started since last late July 2009 and will continue until late August 2009. However, the week of August 10-14 is the best time to watch it.
For this year, the Perseids Meteor Shower 2009 will peak twice and it will occur on August 12 at 1:00 a.m. EST and 5:30 a.m. EST. However, enthusiasts say that you can watch it anytime.

And for those who is wondering what they expect to see, here’s an awesome video by John Chumack taken through his Northeast Sky Camera #2 while in his backyard Observatory in Dayton, Ohio, USA. This is a 5 hour movie compressed to 10 seconds. (Source)
The Perseids meteor shower is caused by the rocky debris from the Comet Swift-Tuttle.
