As posted on school’s website:

I am deeply and wholeheartedly regretful for my actions. My actions were uncalled for. I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation. I take full responsibility for my actions and accept any punishment felt necessary from the coaching staff and UNM administration.

This is in no way indicative of my character or the soccer player that I am. I am sorry to my coaches and teammates for any and all damages I have brought upon them.

I am especially sorry to BYU and the BYU women’s soccer players that were personally affected by my actions. I have the utmost respect for the BYU women’s soccer program and its players.

Kudos to Elizabeth Lambert! BYU decided they wanted to play jungle soccer so Lambert obliged them. First the elbow then the pulling up Lambert’s shorts. What was “ponytail” trying to do? Give Lambert a wedgie?!?! Lambert handed it back to them in her own style and now the sports community is in an uproar. Its too bad Vela has caved into the pressure. I showed this video to all my buddies. Everyone agrees that had BYU’s conduct been done in the men’s sports areana this wouldn’t even be an issue. Too bad that even the lady commentators support this double standard. You guys are your own worst enemy. Hang in there Elizabeth!

What a pile of bs, Eric. BYU played “jungle soccer”? She just “…handed it back to them in her own style”? She pulled a girl down from behind by her hair and you think that’s normal give and take in sports? You honestly think if a guy grabbed another guy by the back of his head and yanked him down to the ground he wouldn’t be called for that? Either you’re trying to get in her pants or you know her personally. Otherwise, please stay in your cave. That point of view is what makes behavior like this continue. Here’s hoping you never get within 50 yards of coaching any one’s kids in Little League.

While it’s easy to paint Liz as some brutal soccer psycho loose cannon hell-bent on wreaking havoc on all who cross her path, she deserves to be seen as a fierce competitor looking for an advantage. Is Elizabeth just a sweet little misunderstood darling whose performance was blown out of proportion? Absolutely not! She gave back exactly what she got from the other side. If you’re going to blame anyone, blame those ignorant dipsticks called officials! If you’re still looking for fodder, blame coach Kit Vela and her husband (who’s her assistant.)

Before she hit one in the back, that girl elbowed Lambert in the chest. And if you look carefully, right before the hair pull, the other girl intentionally reached back – without turning around – and yanked Lambert’s shorts up at the front, clearly meant to inflict pain. That looked like a well practiced and calculated move, perhaps one that she’s been able to use effectively in the past without being seen.

Incidentally, money can’t buy what Elizabeth Lambert’s done for women’s soccer. I’ve developed a whole new interest in it myself. In fact, if I ever have any kids, I’m going to pay their way to the Liz Lam Lobo Soccer Camp. You go girl. Carpe diem.

    Greetings Liz,

The secret to retaliation is to smile as you beat
the crap out of someone. Never look mean. Do not
frown or show anger on your face…Plead innocence at all times. Make them pay for dirty play. (and you did make them pay)

Win if you can, loose if you must, but always cheat…But do it with a smile. Because when you are smiling, the whole world smiles with you.

You did a great job. Keep up the good work.

Liz Lambert should be the “shero” to all women of
America. She is not afraid to defend herself. She
    knows how to fight.

Liz Lambert should empower women to learn how to defend themselves.

She can beat half the men of USA and all of the
women. The men of America today are weak and fearful of women who are courageous. There is not a man in USA who would attack LIZ LAMBERT because they would get their gonads smashed.

The women are cowards who are afraid to defend them-selves. The women would rather be “beat-up”, insulted, raped, and killed as opposed to fighting back.

I require all females in my Womens Self-defense
Class to study the Video Of Liz Lambert.
