Nintendo DS | DSi | DS Lite: NDS Information
Written under: Pop Culture, TechnologyThe Nintendo DS is a dual-screen portable gaming console from Nintendo. Originally released in 2004. It made its debut in Japan, the United States and Canada.
The NDS features a clamshell design, just like the Game Boy Advance SP. It has two LCD screens, with the one at the bottom being a touchscreen.

All Nintendo consoles, which are the Nintendo DS, DSi and DS Lite; has a built-in microphone and has WiFi. This makes it possible to connect with other NDS and play over an internet connection.
However, the Nintendo DS Lite is slimmer and more lightweight. This redesign was first launched in Japan on 2006.
Meanwhile, the Nintendo DSi takes the console to another physical improvement as this is the thinnest among the three and has the largest screen. In the Nintendo DSi, the Game Boy Advance cartridge was replaced with an SD card slot.
This technology also allowed players to download games and applications through the DSi Shop. Currently, all three models are still being sold worldwide and new and more exciting games are being developed.
