Orphan Movie Sparks Protests From Adoption Groups
Written under: Entertainment, Lifestyle
Adoption groups are airing their concerns and protests over the movie, Orphan. They claim that this horror suspense movie from Warner Bros is giving a negative image on adoption and may cause discrimination against adopted children.
While many say that this is just another movie and should not be seen as an attempt to scare people from adopting older children, Warner Bros took the protests seriously and sent out a response, which can be read in parts below:

Spokesman Scott Rowe announced that they are now considering adding a pro-adoption message at the end of the film when it comes out in DVD form.
Another reason for the outrage is the line from the trailer when the orphan, Esther says, “It must be hard to love an adopted child as much as your own.”

Warner Bros. has this to say about the film: “[Orphan] is not a depiction of any real-life events or situations and has never been portrayed as anything but an entirely fictional story. We apologize if we appeared insensitive with the initial trailer, as it’s never our intent to offend anyone with our products.”

Did people even watch this movie fully? If so, they are basically saying people are stupid enough to adopt the stereotype of “All adopted children are murderous ADULT russian midgets.” Seriously?
The whole point of this movie is that it was AN ADULT disguising themselves as a child.
