Philippine Voter Registration: How To Check If You’re Already Registered
Written under: Human Interest, Philippines, Politics
There are only 5 days before the deadline for new voters registration for the May 2010 elections and the Philippine Commission on Elections has been very busy.
The COMELEC field offices will be open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM from Monday to Saturday to enlist new voters. While on October 31, the last day of registration, their offices will be open until midnight.
Meanwhile, many old voters are asking if they still need to register for the upcoming elections, given that this will be the first time that it will be electronic.
If you’re among them, there’s an easy way to check. All you have to do is to check your name in the COMELEC’s Philippine Voter Registration page here.
Just check and verify if you’re enlisted in a precinct. If your name appears then congratulations, you are already a registered voter. Remember to vote wisely in May.
