President Bill Clinton has been hospitalized today after experiencing prolonged chest pains – indications of a possible heart attack. Bill Clinton has been immediately admitted to a hospital in New York.

A representative for the 63-year-old former US President says in a statement: “Today President Bill Clinton was admitted to the Columbia Campus of NY Presbyterian hospital after feeling discomfort in his chest.”

Immediately following the consultation with his cardiologist, Clinton underwent a procedure to place 2 stents in one of his coronary arteries.

He is now recovering and is looking forward to coming back to his work in his Foundation and Haiti’s relief and long-term recovery efforts.
