Pringles Recall Issued Due To Salmonella
Written under: Health, Human Interest
The US FDA has urged Procter & Gamble to issue a Pringles recall. It’s been discovered that some batches of Pringles potato crisps could be contaminated with salmonella which has been found in the manufacturer’s equipment.
According to Dr. Jeff Farrar, associate commissioner for food safety in the FDA, the discovery of Salmonella Tennessee could cause a recall to other products as well, and the Pringles recall is just a start.
Not all Pringles products are being recalled. Affected only are the following:
- Pringles Restaurant Cravers Cheeseburger, Super Stack Canister: 181 grams, UPC code: 37000 26936, with best by dates of 02/2011, 04/2011
