Que E-Reader Unveiled

At the CES 2010, Plastic Logic has unveiled the Que e-reader for business professionals. Company officials says that the device will start shipping mid-April in two versions.
First, the $649, 4GB model with capacity for 35,000 documents, and second, at $799 for an 8GB model that holds 75,000 documents. The 4GB version will operate over Wi-Fi, but the 8GB model will run on Wi-Fi and 3G networks from AT&T with no added monthly subscription cost, officials said.
The Que e-reader is a touch-screen device, with dimensions of 8.5 by 11 in. The display is 10.7 in. diagonally and it is made of shatterproof plastic. It is only about 0.3 in thick and weighs 17.2 oz. This is said to be the e-reader with the largest display.
The Que e-reader is being marketed for business professionals who has a “need to read” – that’s why it has partnered with newspapers and other business publications.
Moreover, Barnes & Noble will be selling the Que e-reader – stating that the Nook device is targeted to a different market and this will not create any conflicts.
