Today is a special date. It’s September 9, 2009 or in numerology : 09-09-09. So what does the 9-9-9 date stand for? What does it mean in numerology?

We asked a friend of ours who is a numerologist and this is what he has to say about the significance of nine and what’s special about today’s date.

According to him, this date is special because it is a combination of the numbers 11, 9 and 2. Why?

Because 9/9/2009 translates to 9/9/11 (add the digits of 2009 to get 11); and the difference between 11 and 9 is 2. Add all the digits, and you get 29, which adds to 11 and adds to 2.

The number 11 is about peace and the coming of people together – a reunion.

The number 9 is about love, compassion and sacrifice – a self-offering.

The number 2 is about sensitivity, change and obstacles – a challenge.

Put them together, the date would mean that it is time for people to come together and face the challenges of the world, even choosing to sacrifice one’s personal motives for the greater good.
