The Martin Scorsese film Shutter Island is the top-grossing film in the US and Canada for the second consecutive weekend with recorded ticket sales of $22.2 million.

The movie Paramount Pictures first release for the year and stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a detective investigating a missing patient at the asylum.

So far, the movie Shutter Island has made $75.1 million in the past two weeks and had the biggest opening weekend ever for both Scorsese and DiCaprio.
