Verizon Nexus One and HTC Incredible
Written under: Technology
According to several news sources, Verizon’s CDMA version of the Google Nexus One is set for official release today, March 23. The carrier is rumored to unveil the EVDO Rev.A Nexus One on the first day of CTIA Wireless.
No pricing information is yet available for the outright purchase price of the new Android 2.1 smartphone or for Verizon’s data plan or subsidized costs. However it was confirmed that it would be competitive against T-Mobile’s existing mobile phone models.
Moreover, HTC Incredible is also said to be released in April with CDMA shipments allegedly coming to Verizon. The handset is expected to offer exactly the same functionality as the existing GSM Nexus One, except for the UMTS/HSPA modem – HTC Incredible will use a CDMA version.
However it’s not believed to include both CDMA and UMTS/HSPA connectivity for worldwide roaming use. And lastly, rumors continue with HTC claims that the GSM version of the Nexus One will be shipping to Vodafone soon.
