Warhol Painting Of Michael Jackson For Sale
Written under: Human Interest, Music, Pop CultureA painting by Andy Warhol showing a portrait of the late singer Michael Jackson is now on display in London, a few days before it will be auctioned off in New York.
The Warhol portrait was commissioned in 1984 to celebrate the world record breaking sales of Jackson’s Thriller album. The painting will go on sale with a starting price of $800,000 which will take place on August 18.
Art dealer Janet Lehr, speaks on behalf of the owner:
