Woods To Wear Special Brace
Written under: Sports
WR Robert Woods is set for the 2012 season, with the help of a special custom-fitted brace on his ankle. Woods started wearing the brace on Friday at USC’s players-only team workout.
While he did not participate in the throwing sessions, he however did some running on the sidelines.
This brace is purposed to prevent bone-on-bone rubbing in the ankle, which has resulted in lingering inflammation since his surgery.
Ankle braces are common in athletics, there are those who even play with back braces and other braces in parts of their body.
And among wide receivers – ankle braces are not uncommon. Even USC’s Damien Williams and Mike Williams had them during their respective seasons with the Trojans.
